I joined QCRI because I was impressed by the level of commitment to conducting world-class research, and the focus on addressing technological challenges that are relevant to the middle east region in general, and to Qatar in particular, and I wanted to be part of this vibrant community.
At QCRI, Eman is the program manager for the research collaboration program between QCRI and MIT, and director for the Research Education Initiative.
Before joining QCRI, Eman was a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, Qatar, conducting research on cross-layer protocols utilizing Software Defined Radios. Prior to that she worked at Nortel, Ottawa, Ontario, as a technical prime for WIMAX terminal development, and in a previous post, she worked as a wireless systems engineer at Wireless Technologies Lab. Eman has also worked as a research associate at the university of Ottawa, conducting research in the area of Wireless Sensors Networks, and at Carleton university, conducting research on interference management in wireless networks.
